Obituary
John Collins, 58, of Petoskey, Michigan passed away on August 29th, 2023 of natural causes.
John was born October 10th, 1964 the son of Edward and Margaret Collins in Biloxi, Mississippi.
John is survived by his mother Margaret Collins and three children, Casey VanPetten (Curtis), Jessica Collins, and Spencer Collins; his two Grandchildren, Nora VanPetten and Ava VanPetten; and his six siblings, Edward Collins Jr. (Ann), Francis Collins (Shirley), Anne Bolger, Jim Collins (Ave), Mary D’Agostino (Mark), and Margaret Ann Eker (Halil).
John enjoyed cooking and playing golf. He especially loved playing the back nine at Crooked Tree Golf Club and reminiscing about the time he spent there growing up.
Services will be held at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM followed by Mass at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Brother Dan’s Food Pantry in Petoskey.
Arrangements are in the care of Stone Funeral Home, Inc.
