John William Gokee

John William Gokee of Jackson Michigan passed away at his son's home in Higgins Lk Michigan on Monday April 19th 2021 at the age of 78.

John was born the son of Lila Zoe Gokee on April 12th 1943 in Boyne City Michigan. He graduated from Saline High School and then went to work for Ford Motor Company.  John retired from Ford Motor Company after thirty-three years of dedicated service.

He is survived by son John W. Gokee Jr; daughter Jeanette E. Kruger; grandchildren Jessica Vanover, Tiffany Gokee, Dylan Gokee, Aurora Gokee, Emieliea Cook, Holly Wilson, Malory Gokee, Daniel Kruger, Kevin Kruger and Mary Lynn Gokee; many nieces and nephews; sisters Beverly McGeorge and Patricia Miner; and brother Steven Sage.

John is preceded in death by his mother Lila Gokee; brothers Melvin Moyer and Newton Sage Jr.; sister Brenda Daniel's;  wives: Jean Ann Childers, Sharon Ann Chrysler, Mildred Lorraine Gokee; children: Jacquelyn Kay Gokee,  Sgt. Christopher James Gokee U.S. Army; grandchildren Joseph Gokee and Tabatha Horn.

John will be remembered by his family and friends as a “Dedicated Red Wings fan”.
