John Klingler

John Allen Klingler, 82, of Cheboygan, Michigan, passed away at his home on December 21, 2020. John was born on February, 18, 1938 in Jackson, Michigan, the son of Walter and Marjorie (Cutler) Klingler.

John grew up and spent most of his working years in Jackson where he graduated high school. On December 16, 1972, he married Kay Schermerhorn who blessed him with 48 years together. He worked as a pressman at The Jackson Citizen Patriot newspaper, retiring in 1998.

After retiring, John and Kay moved to Cheboygan where John worked as the lock operator for the Cheboygan DNR. John was a very hard worker and loved bowling.

John is survived by his wife, four children, Donald, Laurie (Ron) Wenger, Lisa (Jim) Fulton, and Greg, five grandchildren, Hannah Klingler, and Madeline, Blaine, Isabelle, and Corbin Fulton, and his mother-in-law Millie Schermerhorn. John is preceded in death by his parents.
