John Edward Vrondran

John Vrondran, 78, of Boyne City, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2025, after courageously living with Parkinson’s disease.

He was known for his storytelling, warmth, and the positive influence he had on those around him. John’s life was filled with joyful gatherings, devoted community service, deep compassion for others, and an unwavering love for his grandchildren.

Born on November 4, 1946, in Petoskey, Michigan, John grew up embracing the values of Northern Michigan and graduated from East Jordan High School, class of 1964. He went on to pursue higher education at North Central Michigan College and Central Michigan University.

John is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Susan Vrondran; his sons, Kevin (Carla) Vrondran and Kristofor (Julie) Vrondran; and five beloved grandchildren: Eden, Meryn, Boden, Eliza, and Andie. He is also survived by his brother, David (Kay) Vrondran; brothers-in-law Neil (Lynda) Olstrom and Bill (Anne) Olstrom; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents William and Geneva (Roberts) Vrondran and his son, Michael Vrondran.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Boyne City, Michigan. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. that morning.
