Kathleen "Kathy" Anne (Hall) Rose

Kathleen “Kathy” Anne (Hall) Rose, 77 of Boyne Falls, Michigan, passed away at her home on October 28, 2023, with her loving husband and son by her side.

Daughter of Howard and Elizabeth (Ramsey) Hall, Kathy was born on July 1, 1946, in Royal Oak, MI. She grew up in Port Huron, MI and attended Port Huron Junior College, where she met her husband, Dennis Rose.

Kathy and Dennis married on September 6, 1968, in Harrison Township, Michigan.

Kathy worked for years at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Clemens, MI. Later in life she worked as a secretary for the City of Petoskey, MI, from where she retired in 2008. Upon retirement she and Dennis sailed their boat from Michigan’s Lake Charlevoix to the Bahamas where they spent their next ten winters enjoying the beauty of the islands.

She had a love for sailing and spent many years racing sailboats with her husband and family. Kathy enjoyed gardening, and fashion, and loved to dance.

Kathy is survived by her husband Dennis Rose, her son Christopher Rose, her sister Kristen (Hall) Blood, brother-in-law Mark Blood, her brother David Hall, and many more friends and family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Elizabeth Hall.

A memorial service for Kathy will be at Stone Funeral Home on Friday November 17, 2023, at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM.
