Auntie Kathy loved and was loved by all of them!

Kathy was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1938 and lived in Australia, Dallas Texas and Coral Gables Florida growing up.  She graduated from Coral Gables Senior High School and went to Michigan State University where she met the love of her life Randy. She graduated from Michigan State with degrees in Education and Physical Education.  She was a teacher in the Greater Lansing area and lived in East Lansing until retirement in Harbor Springs, Michigan.

Starting with her active participation in a youth group at Coral Gables Presbyterian Church she was a lifelong Presbyterian who served her church in many ways including being an elder, mission work, chairperson of several committees, worship leader and other roles too numerous to mention. As well as being a long-term member of the church choir she sang with the Northern Michigan Chorale.

In Harbor Springs she became an active member of the local chapter of the Christ Child Society dedicated to serving children in need of resources to escape poverty.  She served as President of the local chapter and coordinated a tutoring program and an annual backpack/school supply program.  Kathy loved children and children loved her!

Her ashes will be interred joining those of her husband Randy in a niche in the Columbarium at the Harbor Springs Presbyterian Church in a private ceremony.  A ZOOM memorial service will be held for extended family and friends at a later date. The family asks that any memorials be directed in her name to the Harbor Springs Chapter of the Christ Child Society.
