Kay Daeschler, age 84, of Cheboygan passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at the Brook of Cheboygan. She was born December 5, 1935 in Cheboygan, the daughter of Earle and Gladys (Wixson) Dickson. On November 10,1956, Kay married Fred Daeschler who preceded her in death on December 27, 2002.
Kay attended Ferris State University after finishing high school and held various secretarial positions during this time she met her Freddie who was stationed in Cheboygan on the USCGC Mackinaw once married family, friends & being a wife, mother, grandmother then great grandmother were some of her most precious joys during her life. She also enjoyed music singing & playing her piano. Gardening was another great love & was quite famous for her beautiful roses in many varieties & colors planted around her home & out in her yard. Her pets Velvet & Beauty also brought her great joy.
Survivors include her two children, Jack (Debbie) Daeschler of Fort Worth, TX and Jill and (Chuck) Robiadek of Cheboygan, three grandchildren, John Ramfield of Fort Worth, TX, Chuckie (Stacey King) Robiadek of Cheboygan and Stephanie (Nate) Wilson, also of Cheboygan and two great grandchildren, Brock and Brooke Wilson. The staff at The Brook will be known as Mom’s Girls were also very important to her.
Besides her husband Fred, Kay was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Dickson and her grandson, Richard Ramfield.
Private family services will take place at Pinehill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Michigan.
Arrangements are being handled by the Nordman-Christian Funeral Home.
