Keith Babcock, age 89, of Wolverine, passed away at home, Tuesday October 6, 2020.
He was born the son of Walter and Ona (Mackensen) Babcock on July 15, 1931, in Wolverine, Michigan. Keith graduated from Wolverine High School in 1950 (he will tell you he graduated in the top 5 of his class and admit there were only 5 in his graduating class), was drafted into the Army where he served in Germany as a communication specialist, then married his high school sweetheart Betty (Spencley) in 1954. He worked for Robotron Corporation in Southfield, Michigan as an electronic engineer until his retirement, then returned to Wolverine.
In his youth, Keith enjoyed baseball, playing short stop (as a left hander) and basketball. He loved to fly fish on the Sturgeon River and enjoyed his weekly card game at the fire station.
Keith is survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty Babcock; his sister, Linda Sue (Don) Fitzek; his two children, Bonnie Stanton and Alan Babcock; his grandchildren Jennifer (Bill) Lembesis, Katie Babcock, and Alex Babcock; his great-grandson Jaxson Whiting; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
