Kenneth M. McGuire, 92, of Cheboygan, MI passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14th, 2025.
He was born on February 26th, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio to Franklin and Audrey (Buck) McGuire.
After serving in the United States Army, Ken and his wife Marietta started a family in Toledo. Ken was a Lithographer by trade, and spent a majority of his career at Graphic Arts in downtown Toledo. In the 90s, they then relocated to Fostoria, Ohio when Ken was working at Gray Printing. In 2002, Ken and Marietta relocated to Carp Lake, Michigan and fulfilled a lifelong dream of living "Up North."
Ken was a true handyman; there was simply no project or task he was unwilling to tackle. A majority of his free time was spent in his workshop, designing, planning, and crafting projects for not only the family home, but also for neighbors and friends. Ken found great joy in helping others in his community and was a trusted resource in a variety of situations.
Ken was preceded in death by his wife Marietta, as well as son Bradley. He is survived by son Brian (Monica) McGuire of Sylvania, OH, sister Sharon Boyd of Las Vegas, NV, as well as grand daughters Kathryn of Auburn Hills, MI and Anastasia of Sylvania, OH. The family would also like to make special mention of Carp Lake friends and neighbors Pat, Brian and Denny who were always there for Ken, as well as the staff at The Brook of Cheboygan where Ken resided since 2023.
No funeral services are planned, and the family will join for a private graveside service in Toledo.
