Kimberly Kay (Crest) Caulkins, 51 of Petoskey, Michigan passed away unexpectedly March 15, 2020 at her home.
Daughter of Paul and Diane (Ramlow) Crest, Kim was born in Flint, Michigan on August 13, 1968. She grew up in Grand Blanc, Michigan where she graduated from high school in 1986. While in high school she loved to play sports and participated in basketball and softball. Kim went to college at Grand Valley State University and got her Masters Degree in Education from Kennesau University in Georgia.
Kim was a mother of two daughters, Courtney and Kaitlyn. She adored them and the time they spent together.
Kim was a special education teacher until she retired a short time ago. She taught in Birch Run, Michigan, Grand Blanc, Michigan, Kennesau, Georgia, and Rockford, Michigan.
Kim had many interests and hobbies that she loved to do. She loved sports and hiking. She enjoyed golfing at the Mackinaw Club Golf Course. Kim also liked to scrapbook and loved her animals.
Kim was such a sweet, kind individual that was very giving and would do anything for anyone who's life was ended too soon.
Kim is survived by her daughters Courtney Caulkins and Kaitlyn Caulkins; her mother Diane Crest and father Paul Crest; her uncle Donald (Sue) Ramlow of Swartz Creek, Michigan; and her cousins Lisa Ramlow and Casey Blakemore.
Those wishing to make a charitable donation in Kim's memory are suggest by family to do so to the Humane Society of Charlevoix County or Rockford in Kent County.
A funeral service for Kim will be officiated by Rev. David Behling at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey Saturday March 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM. A visitation will begin at 10:00 AM.
