Laura "Joan" Turnbull

Joan Turnbull, age 89, passed away January 21st, 2021.  She was born Oct 3rd 1931 in Boyne City.   Joan LOVED Boyne City and support the Boyne City Ramblers in all sports. She loved the lake and if she wasn’t working she would often go to the park and sit and watch the boats on the lake.

Joan retired from United Technologies (Boyne City), but not one to sit around and always one to help others she went to work with Commission on the Aging (Charlevoix).   It was during this time that Joan became friends with residents and staff at Grandvue Medical Center in East Jordan, which would be her final home.

Joan is survived by her daughter; Debbie (Mike) Fitch, Joseph “Tony” Turnbull, George “Butch” (Vivian) Turnbull, and Mark Turnbull.  She had many grandchildren, Lauri (Bill), Micki (Jeff), Andrea (Jordon), Derek (Alyssah), Georgia (Derek), Ashley, Mark and Brad and many great-grandchildren.  All of these she loved and touched deeply.
