Lee Van Jaarsveld, 92, passed away on July 20, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. He was the husband of Beverly Van Jaarsveld, married September 3, 1949. Lee was born in Detroit, Michigan to parent Nicholas and Althea Van Jaarsveld. He graduated from Utica High School in 1948. Following high school, he was self-employed as a painting contractor in Utica, Michigan.
Lee belonged to the St. John Lutheran Church. Other hobbies of his included hunting, fishing and golfing. Lee was a kind, friendly, social, and fun-loving person.
Lee is survived by his daughter, Kathy Hall; son, Jerry Van Jaarsveld; sister, Ruth Walters; grandchildren, Jennifer Kinney (Tim), Nicholas Van Jaarsveld (Kristen), Michael Hall (Valerie), and Kristin Hall; and great-grandchildren, Emerson Hall, Madden Hall, Harper Hall, Ayla Van Jaarsveld and Arlo Van Jaarsveld. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Harold and Norman Van Jaarsveld; and his wife, Beverly.
A graveside service for Lee will be Saturday, August 6th at Oakhill Cemetery in Indian River, Michigan.
