Leon Joseph Florenski, Jr.

Leon Florenski Jr. of Boyne Falls, MI., went to be with the Lord October 5, 2021, peacefully at the Hiland Hospice Cottage.

He was born on March 19, 1936 to Leon Sr. and Josephine Florenski. He lived in Flint, MI., where he worked as a building trade supervisor for Erickson and Lindstrom Construction Company. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. Leon meet the love of his life, his late wife Barbara (Slivinski) Florenski when they got married on December 31,  1960.  He and Barbara retired in Boyne Falls. Leon was an avid gardener, loved hunting and fishing and also his polka music.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also serviced in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. 

Leon was preceded in death by his parents and wife Barbara. 

He survived by his sister Jeannette (Dominic) Francis of Petoskey, his long time friend Beverly Paquette of Boyne City, along with many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday, October 10th at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Boyne Falls with the Recitation of the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM.

Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, October 11, 2021 at the church with burial to follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
