Linda Kay (France) King

Linda Kay King passed away at the age of 78 on May 10, 2023 surrounded by loved ones after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Born on December 28, 1944 to Harold and Betty France, Linda was a beloved daughter, mother, wife, sister and friend. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. King. Her family includes daughters Tonya (Weiss) Romanik and Nicole (Weiss) Delaney. Step-children include Nathan King, Katrina King, Matthew King, Michael King, Jerry Schmitt, Mary (Schmitt) Pope, Therese (Schmitt) Voevodsky, Eric Schmitt & Denine Schmitt. Additional family are sisters Barb Armstrong and Pam Conroy, brother Rob France, grandchildren Tess Romanik, Tyler Molag, Taryn Thompson, Chloe Delaney, Lea Delaney, Evan Delaney, Cameron King, McKenna King, Jayden King, Justin King, Jonah King, Joe Schmitt, Sam Schmitt, Paule Voevodsky, Mia Voevodsky, Alec Schmitt, Lydia Henry, great grandchildren,Ian Molag, Evelyn Molag, Ronin Thompson, Ari Thompson, and Ka’ikena Barrera, many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Linda enjoyed gardening and kept beautiful flowers. She also loved to play cards and spent many years organizing tournaments. Linda had a beautiful voice and was delighted to perform in several musicals. She loved to bring people together and her home was always a gathering place with an abundance of delicious food, live music and games. She spent most of her life in the hospitality industry and was known for her delicious culinary creations. She was a beautiful, loving, sassy soul with a gigantic heart and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held at Nordman-Christian Funeral Home on Friday, May 19th from 5pm-8pm.  Funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Saturday, May 20th at 10am.
