Louie M. Plevinski

Louie Marion Plevinski, 88, passed into the presence of his loving Savior on December 17, 2024. Louie was born in Roger City, Michigan, on August 18, 1936, to Lucien and Gertrude (Green) Plevinski, and raised alongside his sisters Marjorie and Jane. He graduated in 1955 from Petoskey High School. He joined the United States Army on December 11, 1958, and served three years, receiving honors as a sharpshooter.

On November 7, 1964, he married the love of his life, Leone R. Brecheisen in Berrien Springs, Michigan. They adopted two children, Randy and Regina Plevinski. Louie loved his family and grandchildren very much and enjoyed taking them fishing and hunting.

Louie worked for the City of Petoskey for 35 years as a lineman and a Master Electrician. He was a member of the NRA and Trinity Missionary Church. He loved to fish, icefish, and hunt. You could usually see Louie taking his daily walks through Petoskey, doing 3-5 miles a day, no matter if it was raining, snowing, or sunny.

He is survived by his son Randy Plevinski of Petoskey; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Leone; his daughter Regina; his parents, Lucien and Gertrude; and sister Marjorie (Norman) Schultz.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Missionary Church care of Pastor Steve Beigle (600 Division Road, Petoskey, MI 49770). A memorial is being arranged for family later this summer.
