Lula Rose Powell

Lula Powell, 82, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Medilodge in Cheboygan.

Lula was born February 13, 1938 in Petoskey to Lloyd and Eileen Lindemuth. Lula grew up in the Burt Lake area. She loved playing bingo, looking at old cars and yard sales. She worked at the Star Gate Motel for years. She then started working at Barnum Brothers in Petoskey where she retired from in 1995. 

When she became ill, Carol Cross was appointed as her guardian and would assist with taking her to different places and activities.

Lula is survived by her two daughters, Donna (Mike) Vigneau of Indian River and Darlene (Dale Dubay) Russell of Indian River; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Hallenbeck of Indian River and Gayle Wills of Alanson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She is proceeded in death by her parents; her daughter, Debra Powell; brothers, Carl Edgmon, Asa, Kermit, Roland, and Roger Lindemuth.

A graveside services is planned for Saturday June 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Ohioville Cemetery, Indian River.

The family is served  by Stone Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Indian River.
