Mabel loved her family and could give the most amazing bearhugs even in her last days. She graduated from Boyne City High School in 1939 and went on to attend and graduate from Chicago School of Nursing in 1942. She worked at Worthington Foods in Ohio. She also worked at Colorado Hospital. After that she came back to MI to nurse her Dad. She put her heart into her family as she raised her 4 children. She was always ready to lend and hand to anyone who needed it and she made the best 'neighbor' anyone could have. Mabel most enjoyed in life her family, sewing, quilting and cooking. She was known far and wide for her apple crunch and tomato bread. She was an active member of the quilting Bee's and RSVP.
