Marlene Frances Killips, 94, of Petoskey, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026.
She was born on November 10, 1932, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Henry and Ellen Stevens. Marlene grew up in Rudyard, Michigan and carried the values of family, kindness, and resilience with her throughout her life.
Marlene lived in many homes around the state of Michigan where she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She shared many loving years with her husband, Chuck, who preceded her in death. Her family was the center of her life, and she took great pride in their accomplishments and cherished the time spent together.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Sue) Killips, Rick (Mary Lynn) Killips, and Cathy (Randall) Bickel; her sister, Marcia; (Emery) Sobony; and her beloved grandchildren, Anne, Meagan, Laura, Sarah, Christopher and Jennifer as well as eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Ellen Stevens; her husband, Chuck; her daughter, Julie; her brother, Henry Stevens; and her grandson, Daniel (Shana) Killips.
Marlene will be remembered for her steady strength, her warm heart, and the deep love she had for her family. Her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
