Marlin C. Gray, 77 formerly of Petoskey, passed away peacefully with his loving wife at his side on July 13, 2025.
Marlin was born on September 29, 1947 in Petoskey, MI, the son of Marlin and Mary Belle (Croff) Gray, and was raised in Petoskey, graduating from the Petoskey High School with the Class of 1966.
In 1969, Marlin married his best friend and the love of his life, Ruby (Schlosser) Gray, in Petoskey and at that point, the two began their fairy tale love story, one that lasted of 56 amazing and fun filled years. Marlin went to work for Koboski Redi Mix as a truck driver and worked for them for 24 years before going off and driving for various other companies, retiring in 2010.
Marlin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and driving his tractor and jeep, but his greatest joy in life was his wife and family. He treasured the time he spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was ready to help anyone in need and would go out of his way to do so. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby; 3 children, Dawn (Jason) Lasley, Lisa (JJ) Tuncap, and Brad (Nikki) Gray; 5 grandchildren, Rachelle, Melissa, Brianna, Kylie, and Johnny; 8 great grandchildren; and by 6 siblings, Marcia, Myra, Mark, Melva, Mary Lou, and Missy; as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
Marlin was preceded in death by his parents and by 3 siblings, Marlene, Myron, and Marla.
