Martha Ann Baumgartner, 93, went home on the wings of the Lord on June 30, 2026. She passed peacefully at home with family by her side.
She was born in Petoskey on March 19, 1933, to Richard and Elsie (Miller) Kleinschrodt.
She worked at Petoskey Electric Motors and Filmore’s for a few years. After retirement, craft shows became her life for many years, where she met countless new friends. She loved doing puzzles, knitting, sewing, and crocheting. More than anything she loved her family.
She is survived by her children Irene Radle, Cindy (Jim) Gallup, Dennis (Kathy Bellmer) Merrill; Penny (Richard) Hull; and Henry (Randy) Baumgartner; daughters-in-law Sally Merrill and Charlene Merrill; sisters-in-law Sally, Melvie, and Martha Kleinschrodt; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Martha is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Baumgartner; her sons Rick Merrill and Jerry Merrill; three brothers, Jerome, Dean, and Wayne Kleinschrodt; two sisters, Irene and Betty; and son-in-law Tom Radle.
Martha will be laid to rest beside Thomas at Maple Hill Cemetery in Clarion. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Martha’s family care of Irene Radle (6166 Pell Street, Pellston, MI 49769).
Arrangements are in the care of Stone Funeral Home, Petoskey.
