Mary Jane (Kewaygeshik) Brimacombe

Mary Jane Brimacombe, 80 of Cheboygan, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025 surrounded by her beloved family.

Mary was born on August 2, 1944 in Levering, MI, the daughter of Dan Kewageshek and Anna (O’Deimin) Kewageshek. She grew up in Levering, graduating from Pellston High School. She went on to spend over 30 years with her partner, Larry Sidell. Mary enjoyed going to the casino, taking walks around town, spending time with her beloved dog Oliver, and garage sailing. She never missed an opportunity to enjoy a Big Boy’s Hot Fudge Sundae or a good Fri-Fish-Fry. Mary was a long time volunteer at the Cheboygan County Hospice House. She will be remembered by her “famous” no bake cookies, her enjoyment of Elvis Presley, fun times at the Carp Lake Cabin, and her deep love for her family and friends. Her door was always open for her loved ones to come stay as long as they needed.

 Mary is survived by her children Doreen (Rob) Sampson, Debbie Reynolds, Julie Brimacombe, Bev (Dave) Hahaj, Brandon Brimacombe, and son-in-law Shawn Mankin. She is also survived by her sister Roseanna Alexander, as well as grandchildren Russell (Riley) LaLonde, Eddie LaLonde, Katie (Nick) LaLonde, Anna (Sean) Keeman, Sophia Perry, Kendra Vieau, Denison (Ali) Brimacombe, Rachelle (Travis) Rye, Marie Brimacombe, Jessie (Melissa) Sems, Cody (Amanda) Sems, and Kyle Brimacombe. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Brennan, Rileigh, Landin, Laci, Chandler, Ethin,  Lanee, Lily, Lucas, Skylar, Rhyker, Jojo, Willow, Kaizley, Quincy, Vicktor, Rosie, Myah, William, Elizabeth, Kater, Kash, Kendall, Alex, Matthew, Dequoia, Keyontae, Aiden, Ali, Evan, Austin, Nevaeh, and Connor, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her partner Larry Sidell, children Mary Mankin and Maria Brimacombe, sister Marion Curto, as well as her parents.

A celebration of life is currently being planned, details will be announced at a later date.
