Mary Ann (Zimmerman) Baker, 93, of Boyne City, Michigan, passed away on December 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Daughter of Lucien and Ruth (Moughton) Zimmerman, Mary Ann was born on August 19, 1932, in Inkster, Michigan. She grew up in Taylor, Michigan, and graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in June of 1951 in Wyandotte, Michigan.
On July 2, 1953, she married Clifford “Skip” Baker in Petoskey, Michigan.
Mary Ann worked for Gulf & Western for 22 years in East Jordan, Michigan. After retiring, she worked in housekeeping at Boyne Mountain.
Mary Ann and Skip’s daughter owned Robert’s Restaurant in Boyne City, and she enjoyed making pies there for the car show. Every 4th of July her and Skip would celebrate their anniversary by running the coffee stand in front of the restaurant and watching the parade while visiting with everyone from near and far.
She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, bowling, camping, the scrambler at the fair, cooking and baking. Mary Ann loved to travel wherever her husband’s work took them and with anyone going on a trip of course.
She was a member of the Boyne City Eagles FOE 1583.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband Clifford “Skip” Baker, Sr.; children Karen (Tom) Roberts, Clifford (Sue) Baker, Jr., and Cherryl (Bruce) Moose; grandchildren Amanda (Jason) Roberts, Abbey Roberts, Allen Moose, Natasha (Erica) Warrington, Chris Zatarga, and Steven (Leslie) Goodburn; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her grandson Clifford Baker, III; and brothers John and Dale Zimmerman.
Charitable donations in Mary Ann’s memory can be made to the Hospice of Michigan.

A celebration of life for Mary Ann will be at the Boyne City Eagles FOE 1583 on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
