Megan Crawford

Megan Renee Crawford, 23, of Levering, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018.

Megan was born July 5, 1995 in Dickson, Tennessee, the daughter of Shannon (Howard) Crawford-Gillian and Melvin Scott Crawford. She attended Burt Lake Christian Academy, later graduated from Pellston High School, and had taken classes at NCMC in Petoskey.  Megan had a passion for caring for others. Most of her adult life had been spent as a home health aide, with plans to eventually work in the medical field.  She had an incredible zest for life, with a personality, a presence and a smile that lit up a room.  Her desire was to ensure that everyone around her was having fun and feeling loved.  Megan’s favorite things in life were spending time with her family and friends, boating, fishing, spending time outdoors, four wheeling, mud bogging, and belting out her favorite songs.

Surviving are her parents, Melvin Scott (Melissa) Crawford of Montrose, and Shannon (Bill) Crawford-Gillian of Levering, brothers Nathan and Hunter Crawford, sister Mariah Crawford, her boyfriend Tim “Timmy” Wilson, her maternal grandmother Cindy Howard of Levering, her paternal grandparents Mel and Pam Crawford of Montrose, and Bob and Belinda White of New Lothrup, and several aunts and uncles, and many cousins...all who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Billy Howard.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00pm, with the family greeting friends beginning at 11:00am, at New Hope United Methodist Church in Levering, with her cousin, Pastor Shane Herman and Pastor Michelle Merchant officiating.
