Nancy Buck, 85, of Boyne City, passed away at her residence in the Brook of Boyne City on Thursday July 16th, 2020.
Born Nancieanne Barbara Beckett on January 22, 1935 to Percy and Mabel Mae (Pretty) Beckett in Goetzville Michigan. Nancy lived most of her life in Sault Ste. Marie. She worked as a dishwasher and salad girl at the Ojibway Hotel and Restaurant. There she made a dear friend, Doris, who soon introduced Nancy to her Uncle, Joe Buck. Nancy and Joe had a long happy married life together. Nancy was a homemaker, an avid reader of mystery novels, and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She loved country music and a variety of television programs.
In 1996 Joe and Nancy moved to Boyne City, where they were active at the senior center, and enjoyed the library and all that Boyne City has to offer. Joe passed on in 2015. Nancy then moved into the Brook of Boyne City where she enjoyed the rest of her life surrounded by new friends young and old.
Nancy was preceded in death by her much loved husband Joe Buck, and by their youngest son Paul.
Surviving are her daughter Cathy with husband Joe Melin, and her son Bob and his wife Kelly. Nancy’s grandchildren, Joe, Brandon, Tony and Rachel Melin, and Paul’s wife Fran and daughter Emily Buck. Also many loved nieces nephews and step grandchildren.
