Norma Johnecheck Obituary

Norma J Johnecheck 73, Of Boyne City passed away on September 16, 2021 with her daughter Vicki Hall by her side.

The daughter of Clifford and Mary Zimmerman, Norma was born at home in Boyne City on January 29, 1948.  She graduated from Boyne City High School in 1966. In 1966 she married her sweetheart Bill M Hall and together they had three daughters, Tamra, Kerry and Vicki.

In 1989 Norma met and married Floyd Johnecheck and after 24 years of marriage Floyd predeceased her in death on May 3, 2013.  Together they spent their days fishing, canning, baling hay and farming the fields and stopping at all garage sales.  Within the last two years Norma learned how to crochet and made endless afghans for family members.  Anyone who knows Norma knew what a work ethic she had, no matter how much pain she was in with her arthritis she kept going and never gave up.  She passed this on to her daughters.  Norma loved life and lived simply.  She never judged anyone and everyone she met was a friend.  Growing up in our home we were always taught to help everyone you can... She would have given anyone the shirt off her back.

Norma held various roles throughout her life from daycare provider to working in the retail industry and ending her career at Glen’s markets where she made fast friends. Her most rewarding role she would always say was raising her three girls who meant the world to her.  She was always so proud of them and their accomplishments.

Surviving are her three daughters Tamra (Adam).  Kerry (Dave) Peck, and Vicki (Carl) all of Boyne City. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  Sister Mary Ann Baker, Brothers Bill Zimmerman and Henry (Alice) Zimmerman.

She was predeceased by her parents, former husband Bill M Hall (They remained friends until Bill's passing in 1995), Husband Floyd, her sister Bernie Debaene, Brother n law Lee Debaene, Brother n law Allen Baker, brother Clyde Zimmerman, sister n law Joan, sister n law Shirley Zimmerman, sister n law Nancy Zimmerman and an infant brother Seth, as well as infant granddaughter Haven Everyly VanFossen.

The family would like to thank David Skornia who our mom always said she thought of as a son, Orville and Sharon Raynor who were not only her neighbors but also her good friends.

Our mom wanted everyone to remember that she was always a hard worker and that she loved her 3 daughters very much.
