August 18, 1921 ~ February 29, 2020 (age 98) 98 Years Old

Olga Lick Obituary

Olga Theofile (Golke) Lick was born on August 18, 1921 in Chicago, Il, the daughter of the late Carl and Theofile (Kalis) Golke. She was a longtime resident of Boyne Falls, MI and a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Boyne City where she served with the Ladies Aid, LWML and assembled many quilts for Lutheran World Relief. 

On June 5, 1943, Olga was joined by God in Holy Matrimony to Ervin A. Lick at Christ Lutheran Church in Boyne City, MI.  She was predeceased by her husband Ervin on July 22, 1980.  Predeceased by brother Carl Golke, Jr., sisters Frieda Rose, Margaret Krueger, Esther Garbow, and Lydia Dittmar; brothers-in-law Herman Dittmar, Albert Krueger, Raymond Krampe, Robert Garbow, Bert Rose, Frank Bovee, Edward Lick Sr., John Chorak and Orvis Lyons; and sisters-in-laws Buelah Lick, Erna Chorak and Helen Lyons.

She is survived by sons David (Janice) Lick of Haslett, MI and Myron (Catherine) Lick of Shelby Twp, MI; grandchildren Kevin Lick of Haslett, MI, Brian (Jessica) Lick of Okemos, MI, Steven Lick (Elizabeth) of Beverly Hills, MI, Renee (Trevor) Nicholas of Chicago, IL, Andrew (Talia) Lueck of Petaluma, CA and seven great grandchildren, Hudson, Sawyer, Emelyn, Sullivan and Victoria Lick, Ethan Nicholas and Simone Abonnat (Andrew and Talia).  Also surviving are sisters Ida Krampe of Grandville, MI, and Ella Bovee of Saginaw, MI; brothers Leo (Elsie) Golke of East Jordan, MI and Eric (Sondra) Golke of Haslett, MI; and many nieces and nephews.  A special thanks to her niece Gisselle Massey for her wonderful care.

Olga went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 29, 2020.  She was 98 years old.  Her mortal remains will await the Resurrection on the last day.  She now resides in her Father’s house, in the place her Lord prepared for her.

Services for Olga have been postponed at this time due to the current health concerns.  The service will be held in May with the day and time to be announced.  We appreciate everyone's understanding.
