Pamela May Kolodziej, known to family and friends as “Pam”, was born on September 13, 1929, in Nether Wallop, England, and peacefully passed on October 16, 2020, at the age of 91, in Petoskey, Michigan.
Pam will be fondly remembered by her four daughters, Krysia (Peter), Jo-Anna, Margaret (Gordon), and Suzanne (Tim), and seven grandchildren, Jeremy, Travis (Cassy), Kimberly (Rex), Kyler (Maria), Ruben, Whitney-Ann (Eamonn), and Maria Lian, and six great grandchildren, Raleigh, Leo, Edie, Quenby, Jonah, and Majeczka. Pam will also be fondly remembered by sister-in-law Irene and Francis Kolodziej, numerous nieces and nephews, dear friends both near and far, and the community at Independence Village.
Pam was predeceased by her husband, Michael, parents Walter and Gladys Woodford, in-laws Wojciech and Katarzyna Kolodziej, granddaughter Jennifer Marie Mehrman, brother Richard Woodford, brother-in-law Ted and Feliks Kolodziej, and brother and sister-in-law Janek and Jeanette Kolodziej.
Pam was a quiet and unassuming daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend. She married Michael in England after WWII, and they immigrated to America in August of 1948, ultimately settling in Livonia, Michigan, where they raised their family, and owned a family business together for twenty-five years, Circle Radio and TV.
Pam was actively interested in Woodford Family genealogy, the Stock Market, the Royal Family, travel abroad, navigating her computer, knitting, and the importance of the use of proper grammar. She thoroughly enjoyed talking in great detail about her shared experiences with others she knew, or knew about, from her past, and from her travels. She had a keen memory for recalling specific details about other people and places throughout her lifetime.
Pam has requested a private immediate family ceremony in her passing. Her quiet presence will be missed.
