Patricia R. Guillaume (Coeling), 73, of Harbor Springs, MI, died April 10, 2020 at home after battling lymphoma for the past year. Pat was born on February 23, 1947 in Charlevoix, MI. She was the daughter of William and Freda (Bos) Coeling.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, William Coeling and Freda (Bos) Coeling, and sisters Phyllis and Linda Coeling. She is survived by her loving husband Geoff and her children: Stephanie (Jim) Gulledge, Sheryl (Dan) Green, Ashley Guillaume and wife Courtney; her sister Amy Stolt and husband John Popovich; her grandchildren Andrew Gulledge and partner Raime Cronkhite, Ethan (Megan) Gulledge, Megan Green, and Isaac Green; and nephew Glen (Lynda) Stolt, her two poodles Maggie & Maxwell and cat Sandy.
She grew up in Petoskey and attended school at Petoskey High School, graduating in 1965. She later attended North Central Michigan College where she received her RN degree in 1980.
On September 10, 1966, she was married to Thomas Rigg in Petoskey. The couple had two children, Stephanie and Sheryl. She later married Geoffrey Guillaume on September 29, 1978 in Petoskey. They adopted a child, Ashley, on March 7, 1985.
Upon graduation from nursing school, Pat worked at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey for 13 years. Later, Pat transitioned into Public Health Nursing at the Health Department of Northwest Michigan until she retired in 2012. She is best remembered for her work at the Health Department where she touched the lives of many families and her dedication to caring for others. Her work was honored in 2011 and Pat was awarded the Champion for the Kids award from the Child Abuse Council.
In retirement, Pat worked for The Dutch Oven Yarn Shop for several years, sharing her love of knitting with others and also volunteering at the McLaren Northern Michigan gift shop.
In her spare time, Pat loved knitting, sewing, and shopping. Her family meant the world to her and she enjoyed spending time together and supporting her grandchildren in their activities.
Pat was a member of the Genesis Church of Petoskey.
Pat’s family suggests memorials to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, McLaren Hospice, or Pregnancy Care Center of Petoskey.
The Rev. Norm Byers of the Genesis Church & Rev. David Van Dam, retired, will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Petoskey, MI.
