Patricia K Kushner

Patricia K. Kushner, 95 of Charlevoix, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on December 1, 2022, following a lengthy illness. 

Patricia was born on October 21, 1927 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Olie and Alice (Truman) Christensen and was raised in Saginaw.  Following high school, Patricia went to work at Bell Telephone Company for many years.

On October 20, 1956, Patricia married Anthony “Tony” Kushner and the two made their home in Saginaw.  Patricia changed careers and became a homemaker and mother of 5 children, Matt, Jim, John, Janet, and Paul, a job she truly loved.

She loved to read, paint and do word puzzles.  Patricia was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parrish in Petoskey and was a devoted Catholic, attending church and Mass regularly.

She is survived by her husband, Tony; 4 children, Matt (Marne) Kushner, Jim (Mary) Kushner, Janet (George) Ferguson, Paul (Angie) Kushner; grandchildren, Nathan and Tyler Bublitz, Austin and Anthony Kushner, Scott Kushner, and Katie, Jessie, John and Cole Kushner; and by a sister, Dorie.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; a son, John Kushner, and by her siblings, Don and Betty.

The family will receive friends at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church on December 6th from 10-11am, followed immediately by a funeral Mass at 11am.  Patricia will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey.
