Patricia Ann (Sobleski) Marszalec

Patricia Ann (Sobleski) Marszalec, 81, of Larks Lake, died November 28, 2022 at home with family by her side.

Pat was born on September 5, 1941, the daughter of Leo and Mary Jane Sobleski. She attended school at St. Francis and married Richard “Rip” Marszalec on June 27, 1964.

Pat and Rip made their home in Chicago, Illinois and returned to their home in Larks Lake after Rip’s retirement in 1999.

Pat was the friend of many in Chicago and enjoyed bowling and golf. In Larks Lake, she enjoyed the company of her sister and neighbors, many of which she considered family. She was an active member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church.

Pat was the loving mother of Joseph (Tricia) Marszalec; proud grandmother of Annie, Dominic and Jillian Marszalec; sister of Leo (Barb), Gary (Jan), Janet (Paul) Jackimowicz, Joyce (Keith) Matz, Kathy Bates, Dorothy (Stanley) Swiss, Steve, Julie Sobleski, and Donny; sister-in-law Icele Tavenner; and proud aunt of 37 nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Rip; siblings, Mary (Jerry) Hoffman, Ruth Backus, Bill, Rose, Jimmy, Tommy, David and Jennifer; and in-laws Walter (Dolores) Marszalec, Edward Marszalec, and Frank Tavenner.

The Funeral Mass will be Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church at Larks Lake with a gathering of friends and family the hour prior. Father James Bearss will officiate.
