Patricia "Patti" Heikkinen-Fralick

Patricia Lee “Patti” Heikkinen-Fralick, 57, of Petoskey, died October 12, 2020 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.  Patti lost her 7-month long battle with leukemia but her loving heart will live on with all that knew her.  If you get a chance, smile at someone and lighten their day!

Patti was born on March 23, 1963 in Escanaba, MI, the daughter of the late John “Jack” and Rose Marie (Samodral) Gorzinski.

Cosmetology was something that Patti always wanted to do.  She had been cutting hair for nearly 39 years, but for the past 14, Patti was the owner and only employee of Patti’s Hair Garage.  Turns out Patti had something special that you don’t always get with a haircut; a smile to lighten anyone’s heart and the ability to listen, care, and help.  She knew each customer’s name, history, and issues and was always there to lend an ear to any who needed it.  She cared deeply for all those she came in contact with.

Patti was a loving wife, caring mother of three terrific children and loved to spoil her 4 grandsons.  She was also in love with her 4-legged friends and took in many dogs over the years that no one wanted.  She donated to dog rescues all over the country.

Patti is survived by her husband, Jonathan Fralick; children, Nicholas (Kelly) Heikkinen, Erica (Nate) Golding, and Emory (Grace Tsaloff) Fralick; grandchildren, Jackson Golding, Luukas Heikkinen, Isaac Heikkinen, and Ivan Heikkinen; siblings, John Gorzinski, Bryan Gorzinski, Brenda Jean Gorzinski, Barbara Gorzinski; nephew, David Gorzinski; aunts, Sally Jo Gorzinski Haiar, Carol Vincent Gorzinski; and her beloved dog, Babe.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 24th from 10am to Noon at the Trinity Missionary Church in Petoskey, followed immediately by a graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery.
