Patrick James Kubesh

Patrick James Kubesh, 78 of Boyne City, Michigan, passed away on January 16, 2023 at Aspen Ridge Retirement Community in Gaylord, Michigan.

Son of George and Mary (Piette) Kubesh, Patrick was born in Traverse City, Michigan.

On April 1, 1967, Patrick married Gail Krey in Roger City, Michigan at the Saint Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church.

Patrick was an engineer by trade and worked for and retired from Honeywell in Boyne City.

Patrick and Gail fostered over 40 children and took care of multiple family members over the years.

He enjoyed camping with family and going on family vacations. Patrick liked antique cars and ran the Boyne City Antique Auto Show and Flea Market. He was also on the Boyne City Zoning Board of Appeals for many years. Patrick was good at everything he did.

He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church for many years.

Patrick is survived by his wife Gail; his children: Bryan of Michigan, Marc of Georgia, Debbie of Alabama, Nicole of Michigan, Carly of Michigan, and Ethan of Michigan.

A visitation for Patrick will be at Stackus Funeral Home on January 23, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be officiated by Father Denis Stilwell at St. Matthew Catholic Church on January 24, 2023 at 11:00 AM, a visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Burial at Maple Lawn Cemetery will take place in the spring of 2023.
