Patrick Michael Collins

Patrick Michael Collins, 79, of Harbor Springs, Michigan, passed away on April 17, 2026, at Charlevoix Hospital, surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.

Born June 6, 1946, in Alpena, Michigan, Patrick lived a life defined by deep faith, quiet generosity, and an enduring love for his family and community. A United States Army veteran, he earned both the Bronze Star Medal and the Army Commendation Medal for his service.

Anchored by his faith, Patrick devoted himself to ministry throughout his life, serving as youth pastor and assistant pastor, and pouring into discipleship, mission work, and the young people in his care. He coached soccer and basketball at Harbor Light Christian School and founded Rainbow Seamless Gutters, a business that became a fixture of his family and community for decades. In quieter moments, he enjoyed hunting camp, gardening alongside his wife, Connie, and playing ball with his loyal dog, Skipper. 

He reserved a special kind of joy for his granddaughters, each of whom knew without question how deeply they were loved.

Patrick is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Connie Collins; his sons, Mike (Jen) and Matt (Jen) Collins; his granddaughters, Kayla, McKenna, Lauren, Kamryn, Caroline, and Emerson; his great-granddaughter, Olivia; his brother, Tom (Janet) Collins; and his sister, Mary Ann (Arden) Rensberry. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Neva Collins.

Those who knew him will remember his steady hand, quiet wisdom, and the effortless wit that always arrived at exactly the right moment. He will be deeply missed.

A public graveside service will be held Wednesday, April 22, at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Cemetery, 105 Greenwood Street, Petoskey, MI 49770.

Memorial donations may be made to Harbor Light Christian School as a tribute to Patrick’s years of dedicated coaching and his heartfelt devotion to the school’s mission.
