Ralph Edward Towne

Ralph Towne of Boyne Falls passed away on November 23rd.  Born on August 2, 1938.  The oldest of five children to the late Jim and Sophie (Krchak) Towne.

He is survived by his wife Geneva of 60 years. Together they had three children, Debbie (Neal) Wilson of East Jordan, Tom (Sarah) Towne of Boyne Falls, and Sandy (Scott) Beal of East Jordan, eleven grandchildren Denzil (Cheltzi) Wilson, Chad (Amy) Wilson, Coleman Wilson, Aron (Heather) Stackus, Tracy Towne, Haley Towne, Grace Beal, Max Beal, nine great-grandchildren; his sister Kathy Leist, brother Bill (Michelle) Towne, brother-in-law John (late Patricia) Elzinga, Pat (late John) Jarema; many nieces and nephews. Along with several close cousins.

His family was everything to him. Celebrating holidays, birthdays and family reunions.  He had a love for school sports, watching his grandchildren play various sports, along with watching local high schools sports. A loyal U of M and Detroit Tiger fan.   He loved having coffee with the old gang from Robert’s.  He played several years of fast pitch softball making many great friendships and memories. He also loved playing golf and hunting with his son Tom.

Ralph was proceeded in death by his parents, his infant brother Shirley Emil, and younger sister Patricia. 

A celebration of life will be held in the Spring of 2021.

A private viewing was held for immediate family members earlier this week.
