Randall "Wart" W. Cease

Randall “Wart” Wayne Cease, 61, of Cross Village, Michigan, passed away at his home on June 29, 2021.

Son of Laurence “Bud” and Betty (Robinson) Cease, Wart was born on October 16, 1959 in Harrisburg, Michigan. Wart grew up in Stutsmanville, Michigan and graduated from Harbor Springs High School.

He worked for many excavating companies over the years, starting at Cross Village Excavating. He also worked doing landscaping, mowing, and cutting wood. As well as working with Matthews Nursery and KRG.

Wart enjoyed deer hunting. He liked listening to baseball games and sports on the radio and on occasion he loved playing softball at Moose Jaw with his friends.

Wart lived a simple life off the grid. He enjoyed time with this friends and would do anything for them. He was kind and would help out the folks of Cross Village and make sure they were taken care of.

Wart is survived by his brother Ron (Becky) Cease; his many nieces and nephews; and his friends Matt and Joellen Crossett, Chris Smolak, Kevin Schlappi, and Joey Kruzel; and countless other friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Bud and Betty Cease; and his siblings: David Cease, Kathryn Radle, and Vicki McDonald.

A celebration of life for Wart will be at the Center Township Hall on July 24, 2021 from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be on July 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Lakeview Cemetery in Harbor Springs, Michigan.
