Raphael "Ray" Fredrick Gasco, 71, of Harbor Springs, Michigan, walked on on February 8th, 2019.
Ray was born in Petoskey, Michigan on December 25th, 1947 to Raphael and Pearl (Dashner) Gasco.
Ray was an outdoorsman who loved camping and fishing with friends and family. Raphael, still a kid at heart, was always able to relate to children of all ages.
Ray was a tribal elder of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians and lived on the reservation in Harbor Springs.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Joseph Gasco-McKeever; his sister, Wanda M. Gasco Thompson; and great nephew, Shilo A. Chapman.
He is survived by his brother, Leonard Gasco; his son, Adam McCartney; his grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
A celebration of Raphael's life will be held on Saturday, June 8th, 2019 at the Tribal Government Building (7500 Odawa Circle, Harbor Springs, MI 49740) at 12:00 p.m. with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Ray had lived a long, joyous life and touched the hearts of all who knew him.
