Rex Gordan Aimesbury

Rex G. Aimesbury, 80 of Boyne City, Michigan, passed away on May 21, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Son of Lester R. and Dorothy A. (Vincent) Aimesbury, Rex was born on October 25, 1942, in Boyne City. He grew up in Boyne City and attended Boyne City Public Schools.

On October 28, 1967, he married Betty McClintock in Boyne City.

Rex worked and retired from the East Jordan Iron Works after 25 years.

He loved to be outside doing lawn work. He also enjoyed taking rides throughout Michigan.

Rex is survived by his wife Betty Aimesbury; daughters Marsha (Jerry) Hosler and Michelle Malter; son Rex W. Aimesbury; grandchildren: JohnHenny (Rachael) of Charlevoix, Michigan, Karina (Gerald) Averill of Missouri, Jerry (Ella) Hosler of China, Ricki Aimesbury of Elmira, Michigan, Elizabeth Aimesbury of Boyne Falls, Michigan, and Crystal Skye Eckomb of East Jordan, Michigan; several great-grandchildren; and his girlfriend Laura Haner.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Dorothy Aimesbury; and daughter Chris Ann Aimesbury. He was the youngest in the family and preceded in death by them.

A celebration of Rex’s life will be at the Boyne City Eagles on June 3, 2023, at 1:00 PM.
