Richard "Dick" Casmier Kuhs

Richard Casimer Kuhs, 89, of Boyne City, Michigan passed away on May 19, 2023, after a long illness.

Dick was born on April 25,1934 to Frank and Stella Kuhs in Detroit, Michigan. Dick graduated from
Sutter Union High School in California in 1952.

After high school Dick joined the Airforce and became a pilot where he learned to fly planes.

Dick came back to Michigan and worked at G.M. Dick married his wife Anita Gentile in 1970 and a year later moved to Boyne City. In the 70’s Dick had a personal plane with friends and enjoyed flying. Dick and Anita owned a few businesses in Boyne. In 1977 Dick and Anita adopted their son Brian Kuhs. Dick enjoyed Northern Michigan, boating, time with friends and family and going down to the local Eagles.

Dick is survived by his wife Anita; son Brian; brother Frank and Diane; grandchildren Kiana, Kielar and Kamden; and nephews David and Andrew.

Funeral arrangements will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Boyne City on June 2, 2023, at 10:00 AM for the visitation, funeral service immediately following at 11:00 AM, luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Mathews Catholic Church or the local food pantry.
