Robert E. Derhammer

Robert was born in Cheboygan Michigan, the son of Lottie and Carl W Derhammer.
Robert spent most of his adult life living in Sheboygan and Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin, but returned to Cheboygan, Michigan, several years prior to his passing. In the comfort of his own home, he passed after a brave battle with cancer in the early morning of May 19th, 2022.
Robert will be remembered as a caring soul who could light up any event with his sense of humor and ability to make everyone feel as though they belonged; he cared deeply for the people who entered his life and made sure to encourage their dreams and goals in whatever way he could. He enjoyed event planning, home design and remodeling, gardening, collecting antiques, and spending time with loved ones and pets.
He is survived by his children Praisleis Derhammer; Justin Derhammer (Catarina); and Jossette Derhammer, grandchildren Kathryn (Keith) Wolfington; Alexander Bates; and Owen Derhammer, siblings Maria Galbraith; Berniece (Alan) Snyder; Avan Carmody; Laura (Robert) Callan; Carmen (Charlene) Derhammer; and Douglas Derhammer.
Per Robert's wishes, no funeral or memorial is planned at this time.
