Robert "Bob" Lee Strong

Robert Lee Strong, 63 of Levering, Michigan, passed away on November 11, 2020 at his home.

Son of William and Violet (Eichler) Strong, Bob was born on July 13, 1957 in Wyandotte, Michigan. He grew up in Bliss, Michigan and attended and graduated from Pellston High School.

On September 1, 1979, he married the love of his life Cindy Luann Byard at the Bliss Missionary Church. They built their log cabin on the family farm and made it a home with their four children: Isaiah, Jaimee, Seth, and Kassia; and their five grandchildren.

Bob loved his family and making time for camping and picnics. He also loved farming with chickens, cows, pigs, horses, and planting crops. Bob enjoyed horse and buggy rides, making maple syrup and homemade ice cream. He loved big family dinners and picking wild blueberries and gardening.

Bob was a quiet, gentle man, with a deep desire to live life in the moment to the best of his ability with a heart of gold.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Cindy Strong; his daughters Jaimee (Brian) Metzger and Kassia Strong; his sons Isaiah Strong and Seth Strong; his brother Arnold (Tomi) Strong; his sister Verna (Dennis) Fay; his five grandchildren; and his countless nieces and nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents William and Violet Strong; and his brother William Strong.

A visitation for Bob will be at the Bliss Missionary Church on November 18, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow officiated by Pastor Paul Holcroft at 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Bliss Township Cemetery.
