Robert "Bob" Vargo

Robert Vargo “Bob” went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 22, 2025. His only child, Amy Vargo (Eric Symborski) and his longtime girlfriend, Nola Archer were by his side.

Bob loved to fish, hunt, and garden. He favored tomatoes and sunflowers, and that love is passed down to his daughter Amy.

Bob enjoyed being outside in the sun in his younger years, and was always tending to his yard and home.

Recently, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was not able to get out and do the things he loved most.

Blissful Cottage in Petoskey was where he spent his last days. We ask that anyone interested in sending flowers, instead, please consider a donation to Blissful Cottage where he received the best care possible in his time of need.

A memorial mass will be celebrated 11:00 am Saturday, April 26, 2025 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with a gathering of family and friends being held from 10:00 am until the time of service. Fr. Greg McCallum will be serving as celebrant.
