Rodger Allan Clute

Rodger Allan Clute, 62 of Petoskey, Michigan passed away at his home with his loving family by his side on May 17, 2020.

Son of Victor and Betty (VanNatter) Clute, Rodger was born on January 3, 1958 in Alpena, Michigan.

Rodger was a carpenter that worked for himself doing remodeling and home work. He also worked as a taxi driver in the Petoskey area for a number of years.

He loved to fish, hang out with his buddies and work. He was always running projects and doing work of some kind.

Rodger was never not smiling. He was always happy and had a great sense of humor.

Rodger is survived by his children: Shawna (Troy) Messing, Rodger II (Jina) Clute, and Mathew Clute; his grandchildren Shelby Messing, Chloe Messing, and Samuel Messing; his siblings Victor (Lori) Clute and Brenda Clute; his special friend Carol; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and cousins.

Rodger is preceded in death by his parents Victor and Betty Clute; and his siblings Chari Otto and Debbie Jones.

At this time the family will plan a memorial service for 2021 in Alpena, Michigan.
