Ronald A. Griffin

Ronald Alvin Griffin, 88 years old, passed into the presence of his loving Savior on May 24th, 2025.

Ronald was born in Greenville, Michigan on October 30th, 1936 to Ronald Edgar Griffin and his wife Eva Louise Griffin (Riley).

The family moved to Petoskey, MI in 1947 where Ronald graduated from the Petoskey High School in 1954.  After graduation Ronald joined the Air Force and served for 30 years.  During his time in the Air Force Ronald met the love of his life in Savannah, Georgia, Jewel Ann Milligan from Nome, Texas and the two were married on Christmas Day, 1958.  Together they had two children and the family traveled the world to various military assignments.  After retiring from the military Ronald and Jewel settled back in Petoskey where Ronald continued his civilian life as an Accountant.  During the following years they lovingly dedicated themselves to raising their great-grandson Adam as their adopted son. 

Ronald was a member of Indian Baptist Church where he served in various ministries.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Jewel and his siblings, Rita Collins (Griffin), Carl Griffin, and Anita Vance (Griffin).

He is survived by his three children, Rhonda Baldwin (Griffin) and her husband Scott, Ronald T. Griffin and his wife Sonja, and Adam Griffin.  Also, his granddaughter Christina Brown, grandson Robert Brown-Griffin, and great grandson Anthony Laughlin.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers please designate a donation to the Indian River Baptist Church missionary fund.

Burial will follow at Joy Valley Cemetery with military honors.
