Roseanna Alexander

Roseanna Alexander, age 83, passed away on May 12, 2026, at Medilodge of Cheboygan.

She was born on March 20, 1943, in Levering, Michigan, the daughter of Dan Kewaygeshik and Anna (Odeimin) Kewaygeshik. She grew up in Levering and attended Pellston High School. Rose was happily married to her husband, Bill Alexander, for over 20 years. She spent many fulfilling years working at LTBB Head Start. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, collecting salt and pepper shakers, watching Days of Our Lives, finding a good bargain, and drinking an ice-cold Coca-Cola or a hot cup of coffee. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, friends, and beloved fur babies.

Rose is survived by her children, Rick Kewaygeshik (Carolyn) and Mitch Kewaygeshik; grandchildren Dan (Meghan) Kewaygeshik, Amber Kewaygeshik, Ben (Jane) Kewaygeshik, Morgan Kewaygeshik, and Erin Kewaygeshik; great-grandchildren Kira, Aubrey, Tyler, Brooklyn, Will, Anna, Sam, and Ryan; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bill Alexander; and her sisters, Mary Jane Kewaygeshik and Marion Curto. Rose was a source of love, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rose’s memory may be made to the Cheboygan County Humane Society.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday, June 12, from 4–7 p.m. at Benton Township Hall, 5012 Orchard Beach Road, Cheboygan, MI 49721.
