Rosita (Lesher) McGuire

Rosita Marie (Lesher) McGuire, 65 of Petoskey, Michigan passed away on December 25, 2021 after complications from a stroke that occurred on December 7, 2021. Her loving family was with her in her final moments when she passed at Ascension Standish Hospital in Standish, Michigan.

Daughter of Althea Lesher, Rosita was born on July 7, 1956 in Petoskey. She attended Petoskey Public Schools.

Rosita worked in manufacturing and liked to watch racing and NASCAR. She was also feisty, loved Mountain Dew and liked to crochet.

Rosita loved her children and her grandchildren. She worked hard and tried to support her family the best she could.

Rosita is survived by her children: Russell (Lyn) Petrowski of Standish, Michigan, April (David) Petrowski of Hudsonville, Michigan, and Joy VanWagoner of Pellston, Michigan; her grandchildren: Tyler Tanis of Cedar Springs, Michigan, Lindsey Petrowski of Holland, Michigan, Michael Burkett of Florida, Bryan Bykonen of Standish, Michigan, Vanessa Melle of Petoskey, Stacey Petrowski, John VanWagoner of Tucson, Arizona, and Rachel VanWagoner of Petoskey, Michigan; and her two great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her mother Althea Lesher; her sister Cynthia Lesher; and her grandparents Alfreda and Frank Lesher.
