Sally Conrad, age 75, of Petoskey, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, surrounded by the love of her family.
Sally was born on February 9, 1950, in Detroit, the daughter of Alfred Conrad and Mildred (Marankus) Simpson. She grew up in Petoskey, where she spent her years as a favorite aunt creating memories of fun and laughter. Sally dedicated her life to caring for others, working many years at Lexamar before retiring as a CNA from Grandview. Her compassion, readiness to help a friend in need, and gentle humor made her a beloved presence among coworkers and patients alike.
Sally started everyday with music and laughter. She loved reading, puzzles, movies, and crafts, and she shared these passions freely with those around her.
Sally is survived by her children, Jaime (Sean) Brants and Kelly Weller; her grandchildren, Coy, Tatum, and Fox Weller, who brought her endless pride and joy; and her siblings Cara (Pat) Daniel, Susie (John) Coon, and Peppy (Dorothy) Conrad. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Francine Conrad, Sandra Gilmore, and her brother Dickie Conrad.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Stone Funeral Home beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Pastor Sherry McGuffin of Cross of Christ Lutheran Church will officiate. Private family time will begin at 9:30 AM. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the Holiday Inn Express in Petoskey for family and friends to gather and share memories.
Sally was always a support network for her fellow single mothers. In that vein, we ask you send donations to the women’s resource center to continue to support families in need.
Sally’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have supported them during this time. Her kindness, resilience, and love will remain with them always.
