Sandra Sue (Squier) Looze

Sandra Sue Looze, 82, of Boyne city, passed on August 29th; surrounded by her loving family.

She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was born December 6th, 1940 in Jackson MI to Lucille Rehm and Elmer Squier.

Sandra met the love of her life in Dearborn MI in 1957. They were married on August 29th 1958, and spent their life in Boyne City raising their five children.

Sandra worked for the state of Michigan. After retirement, she and her husband Gerald (Jerry) traveled the country in their motor home.

She was very involved with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to watch any sporting event they were in. She and Jerry were avid fans of Boyne City football, and could be found in the end-zone nearly every home game.

Her hobbies include reading, crocheting, watching Boyne City football, and spending time with family.

Sandra had a great faith, and was a member of the Christ Lutheran church in Boyne City.

She is survived by her children Ken (Teri), Tom (Patti), Jerry, Mike (Kim), Joann Baird (Jeff), and her brother Allan Squier. Also 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lucille and Elmer, her sister in-laws Joann Miller and Jeanette Squier, and her husband Gerald Looze.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 8th 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, September 9th 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 9th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church (1250 Boyne Ave, Boyne City, MI 49712).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church or Charlevoix County Humane Society.
