Sarah Anne (Lueb) Green

Sarah, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on August 2, 2022, at The University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Sarah was born in Howell, Michigan and raised in Holly, Michigan, the second of 5 children. She graduated from Holly High School in 1974. In 1991 she moved to Petoskey, Michigan with her younger sister Lenora and young son Zachary, where she quickly fell in love with the town. In 1992 she met and fell in love with Don Green. They married in 1999 and enjoyed many years together in Petoskey, Boyne Falls, Michigan, and the surrounding lands.

Sarah loved Lake Michigan in all its glory, even frozen over in the winter. She could spend hours kneeling over the same patch of flowers making sure it felt just right to her. She would spend even more hours watching birds fly in and out of her feeders or snuggled up with a good book or one of her grandchildren. If a Detroit team was playing, they better be on the TV. That TV was already set to a Tigers game, if it could be.

Sarah is survived by her husband Don Green (Petoskey); her mother Lois Lueb (Holly); her mother-in-law Mary Green (Boyne Falls); her brothers John Lueb (Hartland) and Michael (Gail) Lueb (Boyne Falls); her child Zachary (Frances) Scott; her grandchildren Sean Scott and Michael Scott (Jacksonville, FL); and two nieces and a nephew. She is preceded by her father William Lueb; her father-in-law Ronald Green; and two sisters Martha Lueb and Lenora Johnston.

She will be sorely missed by her friends and family.

A celebration of Sarah’s life will be held at Stone Funeral Home in Petoskey from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Saturday, August 6, 2022. A rosary will be recited by Deacon Paul Fifer and begin at 5:00 PM.
