Sharon Davis Obituary

Sharon Kay Davis, 70, passed away September 15, 2020 at home after losing her battle to cancer. Sharon was born on July 23, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan, the youngest of Louis and Elizabeth Schaeding's seven children. Sharon was raised in the Bridgeport Michigan area and was a 1968 graduate of Bridgeport High. After marrying her soul mate, Joseph Davis, in 1973 she spent the remainder of her life in their Harbor Springs home that the two of them built and raised their family in.

Sharon was active in Joe Davis Auto Repair, the family business that allowed her to spend the vast majority of everyday over the last 44 years with the love of her life Joe. Sharon's favorite pastimes were traveling, camping, and spending time with family and friends. Some of her fondest memories were from taking the family to Florida on spring break and being one of the biggest kids at Disney World. She also enjoyed camping at Jellystone Park in Indian River, Michigan where she spent countless weekends making lifetime friendships with multiple families statewide. Sharon also treasured time spent with her "coffee group" a group of dear friends in the Petoskey area. Sharon was an active parishioner at Holy Childhood of Jesus Church in Harbor Springs.

Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Joe Davis of Harbor Springs; her children, Tim (Kendra) Davis of Harbor Springs, Tammy (Alan) Sparks of Newberry, Michigan, and Daniel (Laurie) Davis of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Sharon was also the proud grandmother of four grandchildren she loved beyond belief, Kyle Campman, Gibson and Millie Davis, and Nathan Sparks; she also leaves behind her brothers Fred Schaeding, Len (Carol) Schaeding, Norm (Sharon) Schaeding, and her sister, Caroline (Jerry) Hebl; she is also survived by her brother-in-law Bernie Davis, sister-in-laws Joyce (Irvin) Sturm, Joan (Paul) Alker, and Jackie Schaeding; many dearly loved nieces and nephews, friends and their extended families. Sharon is now reunited with her parents; her in-laws, Orville and Caroline Davis; brothers Herb and Cliff Schaeding; and many other loved family members and friends she has missed dearly.

There will be a memorial Mass at Holy Childhood of Jesus Church in Harbor Springs on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with a one hour visitation prior to Mass. Father James Bearss will officiate. Burial will take place immediately following at Holy Childhood Cemetery.
