Sheila Mae (Baker) Wilson, age 67 passed away from pancreatic cancer on May 28, 2021.
Visitation will be held 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday June 2, 2021 at Stackus Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Maple Lawn Cemetery in Boyne City with Pastor David Behling officiating.
Sheila Mae (Baker) Wilson was born in Wyandotte, MI on July 2, 1953 to Edward and Naomi Baker. Sheila went to East Jordan Public School and graduated in 1971 and became a cosmetologist. She married Robert Lyle Wilson on May 7, 1977. Sheila stopped cutting hair and started at Bendix / Honeywell when the family started growing. She retired after 39 years and became a bus rider assistant for Char-EM ISD in 2016, then received a CDL for driving bus for special needs children that she adored and loved.
Sheila was happiest when she was with grandchildren, family and friends. Camping and cooking were her favorite things to do.
Sheila was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Wilson, parents Edward and Naomi Baker.
She is survived by her children John (Jen) Wilson, Marlena (Adam) Wilson and Mary Jo (Andy) Hart. Grandchildren Adam, Wessley, Wyatt, Wade, Aubrey, Garrett, Sam, Jess, Juan, Bella, Jazzell and Andrew; siblings Marsha Gee, Sandy (Jerry) Garland, Brenda (Brett) Bingham, Edward (Linda) Baker and Fred (Charlotte) Simpson; sister-in-laws Sally (Charles) Bauman, Janice (Bob) Lavanway and brother-in-law Timothy Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
